So, this week’s events were canceled due to the threat of hurricane. No polo, no being cooked for by Top Chef’s, and getting to see with my own eyes, the conundrum that is Kelly Kiloren-Bensimone. I don’t know how that woman shows her face in public after the insanity that she displays in her television series The Real Housewives of New York City. So, I have no choice but to start to plan the recipe contest with my friends for this fall. I had a light bulb moment earlier this week, while talking to a hunter friend. The theme is …local game and seafood. A surf and turf feast of local pleasures! The rules will be, that you should include as many locally grown ingredients as possible, but you can also include non-local stuff to the recipe as long as it is not the main. For example if shrimp is an ingredient, as an accent flavor, you will never find local shrimp. This includes other meats if it fits into your dish, as long as you have a local meat or fish as the main in the dish. Like last time we will rate on scale of 1 – 10 anonymously, and we will need a prize!
